JSON is a text format for objects, arrays, strings, numbers, booleans, and null. Tools often emit it on one line. Formatting adds line breaks and indentation so you can read it; the data stays the same.

This app uses your browser's JSON.parse to decide whether input is valid, then JSON.stringify to print it. The specification menu is a label only. Fix JSON tries to repair trailing commas, single quotes, comments, and unquoted keys before that parse.
